1. Seattle Seahawks- 5-1 They rank 2nd in running and pass defense, two things that win you games. Plus they are unbeatable at home, if they get home field advantage they are going to the Super Bowl. When Percy Harvin Returns this offense is about to be explosive.2. New England Patriots- 5-1 I know their wins haven't been that impressive except for last week vs the Saints but the emergence of Aqib Talib as the best corner in the NFL moves them up my list. If they can keep Gronk and Amendola healthy Brady will actually have someone to throw too. The only thing that scares me is the injury to Wilfork and Mayo, the middle of defense could be hurt. I believe Brady beats Manning when the go head to head in the playoffs.
3. Denver Broncos 6-0 Yes I have them at 3, you can call me stupid, but have they really been tested yet? Baltimore, Jacksonville, Giants, Cowboys, Raiders, and the Eagles that is a combined record of 11-19. Their pass defense is ranked 32nd in the NFL, they just have not shown me enough to move them ahead of Seattle or New England
4. New Orleans Saints 5-1 The Saints are back!! Their defense is greatly improved from last year and reminds so much of the team that won the Super Bowl a few years back. They could very easily be 6-0 if they could have gained 1 first down but Brady does what Brady does.
5. San Francisco 49ers 4-2 They have been really impressive the last 2 weeks by running it with Gore and throwing to Davis. Kaepernick isn't even playing his best ball plus they are expecting Crabtree to return down the road. Altough they rank 31st in passing I have more confidence that Kaepernick and play calling will use the running game to throw the ball down the field more. They are looking like a real Super Bowl contender again as their defense is creating turnovers.
6. Kansas City Chiefs 6-0 yes they are my 6th, they rank 26th in passing yards which just is not going to get it done for me. Good teams will limit them to be one dimensional and Alex Smith will have trouble winning them games. If they want to be a real contender Dwayne Bowe is going to have to get back to his Pro Bowl form. Also they are yet to play a team with a winning record.
7. Indianapolis Colts 4-2 All Andrew Luck does is win except against the Chargers but they do have wins over Seattle and San Fran which is super impressive.
8. Cincinnati Bengals 4-2 My preseason Super Bowl Pick. No weaknesses on D but Andy Dalton is just too inconsistent. If he has a Joe Flacco type run in the playoffs watch out NFL
9. Chicago Bears 4-2 Feed Brandon Marshall!! is this the year Cutler gets it done and actually get deep into the playoffs? 10. Green Bay Packers 3-2 Can the Packers ever stay healthy?, plus Aaron Rodgers just is not THE Aaron Rodgers this year. I like the emergence of the running game though.
11. Detroit Lions
12. San Diego Chargers
